On Sunday 16th May saw 4 of us going down to swanage for the day stopping off at Corfe Castle for a small rest before we continued our journey, I personally have never been to swanage before in my life, the weather was very hot that day and we all had a very good time I took my wheelchair with me as I cannot walk around very much, kevin however found that he had forgotten to bring his walking stick with him so he began to wilt a bit with the walking although not a lot of walking was involved as we only walked as far as the beach after parking the car in the centre.
Here we are stopping off at Corfe Castle National Trust Centre having a rest and stretch our legs before we continued our journey on to swanage, the Swanage Railway runs nearby and you can just about see the engine as the train runs by, kev just about managed to take this photograph but I was too late as usual.
I managed to take these two photograph's looking up towards Corfe Castle but it was such a sunny day the sun was in the wrong direction its a wonder they both came out.
This is a panoramic view of swanage bay looking from the jetty, we parked our car in a car park which overlooked the bay towards the jetty from where I took this photograph.
These photograph's show a panoramic view from the car park where we sat and ate our sandwiches sat on a grassy bank overlooking swanage bay.
We are sat in the garden of a pub where we stopped off for a break on our way home from Swanage.
On the 28th May 2004 Bank Holiday week-end we went on a camping trip for 3 days to Hayling Island and had a lovely time with trips out to Chichester, Bognor Regis,Worthing, Brighton and Arundel. The weather was very good it only rained once in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The sides of the tent being secured with kev in all his glory wearing his kilt, "I wonder if it's true what they say", then we got Neil and Andy doing their bit with our sleeping quarters finally taking shape at least we will have somewhere to sleep tonight, last picture above is of Andy who thinks he has finished doing his bit. I did however manage to do something to contribute to the weekend camping like opening a can of spuds, no to be honest we all mucked in where we could, my son and his friend came camping with us they enjoyed themselves with the experience, having pitched their tent next door to the left of us.
Well the tent is in full operation now, Andy and his mum (Pam) sun-bathing.
Kev, Neil and the wife all slaving over a hot stove preparing something to eat. We are here posing for the camera and the sun has got his hat on. Andy is behind the camera.
Does my bum look big in this? I must go on a diet as I look too fat, boy oh boy! was it hot that weekend but brilliant all round.
Front entrance to Arundel Castle and looking up the high st towards the castle.
Worthing promenade train which travels for about a mile and quarter and Brighton Pier on a very sunny day.
Chichester Cathedral. A very nice place to visit.
Kev, Neil and the wife posing outside Chichester Cathedral.
Kev enjoying his Jam Session on Hayling Island at a pub called the Inn on The Beach.
The band wanted him to do an encore as they said he was very good. Jam session pictures were taken by our friend Andy.
